We are looking for self-motivated individuals with a desire to learn. In this position a mentor will guide you and provide the foundational knowledge needed to shift from a classroom environment to hands-on application. The co-op student will work onsite from January - December 2026.

In this full-time role, the candidate will have exposure to multiple groups in the organization such as but not limited to quality, engineering, management, information technology, etc.

This role is part of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) team which helps to support automotive parts moving to production. The PPAP Coordinator is responsible for the PPAP process for the assigned business units, supporting part approvals in the official PPAP format and with documented results.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain PPAP documentation packages, ensuring all required information for a Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission is present and accurate.
  • Provide support to other teams and departments within the company (automotive business units, sales teams, and manufacturing teams) to complete and compile PPAPs and Part Submission Warrants (PSWs), escalating when help is needed.
  • Manage updates to the PPAPs, triggered by product changes or customer requests (support customer-driven PPAP changes, updates, and/or questions).
  • Ensure status updates to the customer contacts of pending PPAP changes and PPAP submissions.
  • Manage time to keep deadlines with approved PPAPs by collaborating with cross-functional teams including quality, engineering, and production to complete PPAP submissions in a timely manner.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Ottawa, Canada from January - December 2026
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in formatting, styles and fields
  • Microsoft 365 Apps, SharePoint

  • Ability to effectively work with multiple communication tools

Desired Experience and Skills
  • We are looking for a candidate who is attending a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. They should also have knowledge using the following software/tools:
  • Knowledge in relational SQL and No SQL databases.
  • Knowledge on Power BI for building interactive dashboards and publishing via MS Teams.

The typical pay range for an intern is currently CAD $25.00 - $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
