Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing quality control activities on the construction site. They will ensure strict adherence to the project's Quality Plan and verify that all operations comply with established standards and requirements. By working closely with site stakeholders, they will contribute to identifying, monitoring, and resolving quality deviations. This position is ideal for someone who is thorough, proactive, and committed to maintaining the highest quality standards in construction.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure coordination between the site stakeholders and the Quality Manager;
  • Have access to all work activities and possess the necessary authority to identify quality issues and deviations from the quality assurance system;
  • Ensure that, following the detection of a problem, all operations are controlled until the issue is fully resolved;
  • Ensure the implementation of non-conformities and corrective actions;
  • Perform site inspections according to PRIE requirements;
  • Report all discrepancies observed on site to the Quality Manager;
  • Prepare the execution procedures required for the project;
  • Verify the implementation on site of technical changes issued by the professionals;
  • Verify the conformity of the work according to shop drawings and other submitted technical documents;
  • Implement the Quality Plan and the Inspection and Test Plans (ITP);
  • Complete and maintain all quality-related records;
  • Carry out inspections with staff independently, in accordance with the ITP;
  • Compile and interpret data and statistics related to non-conformities;
  • Supervise the identification of deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions;
  • Monitor the supply and delivery of materials for the site.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in civil engineering or architecture;
  • Relevant experience in the construction field and in quality management on HQ or MTQ projects;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software;
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong communication abilities;
  • Geographic mobility for a 14/7 rotation on a Hydro Québec – La Manic worksite.
