Overview

We’re seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing Director. In this role, you’ll manage QSURJ’s public presence across social media platforms, design engaging graphics, and promote the journal’s issues, events, and values to a wider audience. As our team looks to expand its digital reach this year, the Marketing Director will play a key role in shaping our brand and growing engagement across all major channels.

Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator with an eye for design and an understanding of social media strategy. Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is helpful, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as valuable.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow QSURJ’s presence across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Design and post graphics, promotional materials, and announcements for upcoming issues, calls for submissions, and events
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting
  • Collaborate with the Event Director to promote journal events and boost attendance
  • Coordinate with the editorial team to highlight published work and celebrate contributors
  • Track and report on social media analytics to measure engagement and suggest improvements
  • Ensure all communications align with the journal’s mission, tone, and values
  • Explore opportunities for outreach and partnerships to increase the journal’s visibility
