Overview

A fast-growing, Vaughan-based food company operating multiple brands across retail, foodservice, and manufacturing throughout the USA and Canada is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong passion for food safety, quality control, and maintaining the highest standards in food production. As a QA Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our food safety and quality systems while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering safe, high-quality products to our customers.

Qualifications
  • Education: A College Diploma (2 Years) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain the company’s Food Safety and Quality Systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and ensure all records are completed accurately in accordance with written programs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to customer and regulatory requirements, including GFSI, USDA, and FDA standards.
  • Perform daily pest control inspections, monitor GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, and maintain scale calibration records.
  • Serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers, government personnel, and facility visitors.
  • Address and resolve deviations by initiating corrective actions and ensuring that all issues are resolved in compliance with established standards.
