Job description

Overview

At CGI, we are seeking a highly experienced QA Automation Tester with specialized knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance modules and hands-on expertise in both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR), quality engineering principles, and experience with leading automation tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, UFT, or Oracle ATS. This role requires the ability to define comprehensive testing strategies, execute test plans, and collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure software quality and compliance. This role will be hybrid from our Atlantic Canada offices (2-3 days a week).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute functional testing for Oracle EBS Finance modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Define and document the testing scope by analyzing business and functional requirements; identify high-risk areas and determine in-scope and out-of-scope items.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage aligned with business and technical needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, UFT, or Oracle Application Testing Suite (ATS).
• Develop and manage test plans, test cases, and test data for both manual and automated testing efforts.
• Conduct regression, integration, and system testing across Oracle EBS environments.
• Track and manage defects using Zephyr integrated with JIRA.
• Estimate testing effort, support resource planning, and contribute to release planning and validation activities.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices and standards, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Participate in smoke testing, production validation, and other quality assurance activities during release cycles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of quality assurance experience with a strong focus on Oracle EBS Finance modules.
• Deep functional knowledge of Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR).
• Hands-on experience in test automation using tools like Selenium, UFT, Oracle ATS, or similar.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile practices.
• Proficiency in using Zephyr for test management and JIRA for defect tracking.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
