About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive Purchaser to support daily procurement operations. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will manage vendor relationships, coordinate inventory needs, and drive cost-effective sourcing strategies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys optimizing supply chain performance, and brings an analytical mindset that turns data into smart, actionable decisions.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary, health benefits, RRSP match

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure chemicals, packaging, janitorial equipment and industrial cleaners.
  • Analyze usage trends and support demand forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; evaluate new vendor opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, and manage non-conformance procedures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms aligned with company goals.
  • Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system with accurate documentation.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with accounting, customer service, and sales.
What you bring:
  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (experience with cleaning products or manufacturing is a plus).
  • Proven ability to source across multiple vendors and negotiate supply contracts.
  • Strong ERP and Microsoft Office Suite skills; advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and product standards an asset.
Preferred Assets:
  • Purchasing/Supply Chain certification.
  • Bilingual (English/French).
  • Experience with hazardous materials regulations.
  • Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices.
