Opportunity for Geriatric Psychiatrist at Penticton Regional Hospital

Our team of 7 psychiatrists collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across acute and community settings, providing a continuum of care in the South Okanagan region, from Penticton to Osoyoos. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing geriatric inpatients in the 16-bed psychiatric unit and providing consults to medical/surgical units and the emergency department.
2. Participating in the seniors mental health community team and outreach to primary and residential care providers.
3. Potential opportunities in developmental disability mental health services and tertiary geriatric care collaboration.

This role offers teaching opportunities with medical students through the UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program and participation in the on-call schedule. Leadership development is available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, designed to foster emerging physician leaders.
