About the Role

SNDL is seeking a Provincial Sales Manager to lead provincial sales across Eastern Canada including Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. This role acts as the internal market expert for assigned provinces and is accountable for managing provincial board relationships, guiding portfolio strategy and driving commercial results in highly regulated retail environments.

Reporting to the Senior Director Sales Strategy & Innovation, you will work closely with field sales and account teams, provincial operations, demand planning, and innovation to support portfolio management, launches, forecasting accuracy and budget for Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. You will also lead and support a remote direct report focused on government retail education and sales support.

Responsibilities
Commercial Activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with provincial board buyers providing insights and data to support portfolio strategy.
  • Own monthly and quarterly budget delivery for assigned provinces partnering with Provincial Operations, Regional Sales Managers and key account teams to close gaps.
  • Manage master data SKU portfolios and market changes to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
  • Support weekly replenishment with provincial boards and manage ongoing relationships with provincial board customers and distributors to ensure effective planning and execution.
  • Partner with Provincial Operations on purchase order coordination with planning and fulfillment teams, including managing timing constraints and market risks (e.g., long‑term out‑of‑stocks sales initiatives).
  • Support Return to Vendor processes and identify opportunities for process improvement across assigned markets.
  • Lead and support a remote direct report responsible for government retail product education and provincial sales support in Quebec and the Atlantic markets (based in Montreal).
Cross‑Functional Activities
  • Support demand planning and sales forecasting processes for assigned provinces.
  • Manage product exits and transitions ensuring alignment with approved forecasts and market plans.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and key account teams on forecasts.
  • Participate in innovation and new product development planning to support successful market launches.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in key account management, project management, retail sales or commercial roles within regulated or CPG environments.
  • Strong customer relationship management, stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven influencing, negotiation, and business acumen.
  • Experience with financial analysis and category management is an asset.
  • Cannabis industry and manufacturing/CPG experience is an asset.
  • Bilingual French is an asset but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Power BI is an asset.
