A leading financial services provider in Toronto is seeking a Claims Consultant to manage complex property claims. You will be responsible for direct handling of claims over $1M and mentoring regional staff. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in claims and strong communication skills. As a Claims Consultant in our Property Large Loss team, you will handle multi‑line complex claims through all distribution channels. You will be responsible for the direct handling and monitoring of complex first‑party and third‑party claims with exposures in Canada and internationally. The types of losses may include Commercial Property, Energy, Equipment Breakdown, Environmental Liability and additional Specialty Claims. The Claims Consultant performs the settlement of complex claims, civil liability or property damage, plays a fundamental role in managing the processes surrounding disputes or alternative dispute resolution bodies, undertakes the functions of analysis and evaluation of claims, liability and provisions and contributes to unit priorities, including providing expertise as needed, mentoring and participating in the budget process.
