Job Summary: Propane Service Technician II

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain a wide variety of propane appliances and storage equipment.
  • Provide expert service and maintenance to various brands of heating equipment in the field, ensuring customer systems run efficiently and safely.
  • Participate in on‑call shifts during regular and off‑business hours to ensure timely customer service and issue resolution.
  • Plan and execute service calls efficiently, ensuring all work is completed on time and to customer satisfaction.
  • Promote company offerings to customers, identifying sales opportunities during service calls to help meet branch revenue targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repairs, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow company policies and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
  • Conduct site‑specific hazard assessments as required by company safety policies and report any unsafe acts or conditions when identified.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle inspections to ensure company vehicles are in proper working order, clean, and presentable to uphold the company image.
  • Uphold the highest standards of service and safety while representing Avenir Energy in the field.
Qualifications
  • Minimum G2 certification required, with a willingness to acquire LP endorsement within the first 18 months of employment.
  • Other trade certificates (e.g., air conditioning, sheet metal, etc.) are considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service technician role, ideally with multi‑certificate qualifications.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Clean driving record is a must; DZ license is considered an asset.
  • Ability to promote and up‑sell company services during service calls, helping to drive branch performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently while following company guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with all company policies.
