We’re focused on enhancing our front-end engineering and design (FEED) as well as our project development capabilities to complement our full engineering and design suite. As Project Manager –, Renewable Energy, you’ll play a pivotal part in developing, interconnecting and implementing wind, solar and BESS projects, particularly in Québec and the rest of Canada.

  • Manage successful delivery of transmission, distribution, storage and renewable engineering projects
  • Collaborate with independent power producers (IPPs), generation developers, power utilities and regulatory bodies to build strong technical solutions and foster long-term relationships
  • Manage delivery of FEED studies, focusing on value engineering, cost optimization and meeting technical performance project objectives
  • Manage delivery of detailed engineering projects
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
  • Support responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), bringing creative ideas and strategic approaches to project development
  • Help ensure projects meet key performance indicators, including cost, schedule, quality and client satisfaction
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients and permitting bodies
  • Assist with other useful duties, as required

Summary of certifications and job requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, power disciplines or suitably demonstrated experience working in the power sector
  • Project engineering or project management experience in the power or infrastructure industries
  • Over 10 years of experience in the power and infrastructure sectors, renewables, energy consulting or related engineering projects
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving
  • Effective communication, people and relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, codes, standards and best practices relevant to renewables projects
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic work setting
  • Willingness to travel domestically, as needed
  • Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
  • Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
  • Asset: PMP certification or ongoing commitment to PMP
