Qualifications

About the Role

At MistyWest, the Project Manager(12-18 month contract) leads all phases of complex projects, managing resources, budgets, schedules, and risks to deliver successful outcomes. You’ll work closely with clients to translate their needs into clear requirements and guide multidisciplinary teams through product development and research across diverse industries. You’ll also contribute to improving our project management practices for continued growth and excellence.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and deliver medium to large, complex projects on time and within budget
  • Supports the technical project lead to define project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate and manage engineering teams and procurement activities
  • Maintain transparent communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance against key metrics and ensure compliance with standards
  • Develop project strategies aligned with client goals and drive continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration across teams
Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience in an engineering company (preferably a hardware product development)
  • Multidisciplinary technical background is a plus
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams (up to 10 people)
  • Previous experience with contract manufacturers and regulatory bodies, particularly in the automotive or medical industries
  • Experience in product, electronics, or mechanical development
  • Previous experience delivering >1,000 units in a production environment

Project Management Skills

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall)
  • Knowledge of risk and change management techniques
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Jira)
  • PMP certification or Certified Scrum Master is a plus
