Job description

SpaceBridge Inc. is seeking a dynamic candidate to fill the role of Project Manager - Commercial. If you have a love for engineering and technology as well as managing and ensuring the timely delivery of projects while working in a fast-paced environment - read on!

The Project Manager will ensure successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of a project. This will be accomplished by monitoring and coordinating the activities of a cross-functional team to deliver projects according to plan.

Responsibilities:

1. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in accordance with management and stakeholders.
2. Conduct the project kick-off presentation once a proposal has been approved.
3. Maintain ongoing communication, coordination, and follow-up with engineering on project progress; track and monitor project milestones and deliverables.
4. Develop project plans and budgets.
5. Prepare detailed scheduling, targets, and resource plans for R&D and engineering projects.
6. Track project deliverables and milestones using project management tools and escalate critical issues to minimize project risks.
7. Provide weekly reports on project progress, issues, and delays.
8. Assess risks and propose mitigation plans.
9. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
10. Define project performance criteria.
11. Monitor cost and schedule performance throughout the project lifecycle.
12. Develop business relationships necessary for project success.
13. Coordinate and follow-up with subcontractors and vendors to establish effective working relationships.
14. Ensure project milestones are met from a cost and schedule perspective.
15. Chair review meetings with customers and subcontractors.
16. Manage project scope and recommend adjustments; negotiate scope changes with customers.
17. Oversee project plans (schedule and cost), risk analysis, mitigation plans, communication plans, and closure activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical product and/or project management.
3. Thorough knowledge of various project management frameworks.
4. Good understanding of satellite systems, especially VSAT systems design, advantages, and market solutions.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Knowledge of financial analysis and KPIs relevant to project control.
7. Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams on multidisciplinary projects.
8. Critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
9. Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office suite.
