This is a term Project Manager and Research Technician position, working on a NSERC Alliance Grant research project funded for five years. End date of position is 17-December-2027. The primary job duties for the Project Manager and Research Technician will include assisting in the execution of a field monitoring plan to evaluate the influence of linear features (roads, well pads) on the hydrology and hydrometeorology of a wetland complex within an in-situ oil sands facility north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. This position will involve extensive logistics (e.g., Environment, Health and Safety Requirements) and fieldwork during the spring and summer seasons, and meticulous data management, analyses and reporting during the fall and winter seasons. The incumbent will function as a liaison between our University research team and the Industry partners.
