About the Project: Saint John Regional Hospital - Renovation and Addition

This project focuses on upgrading the hospital’s emergency power infrastructure through the construction of a new emergency generator building on the west side of the facility, as well as reinforcing the concrete retaining wall to support grade changes and maintain structural integrity. The upgrade is critical to enhancing the hospital’s resilience and emergency preparedness by ensuring dependable power systems that meet modern healthcare standards. This high‑profile project requires advanced planning, risk management, and leadership skills.

You As a Project Manager Will

• Provide overall construction management from pre–construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent.
• Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a construction related degree/diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager in general construction.
• You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software.
• You can confidently mentor and delegate a team while developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• You have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
