A leading energy solutions provider in Calgary is looking for an Outsourcing Project Manager to oversee the outsourcing of fabrication activities. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in procurement and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Enerflex is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Outsourcing Project Manager to play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Manger of Project Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the outsourcing of fabrication activities to external subcontractors. The Outsourcing Project Manager leads the end‑to‑end planning, RFQ , selection, and execution of outsourced fabrication scopes to qualified subcontractors, ensuring schedule, quality, cost, and contractual outcomes that protect and advance Enerflex’s interests. Building on a strong manufacturing and quality background, the outsourcing project manager drives rigorous bid evaluation, cost control, supplier performance, and proactive risk management while integrating closely with Enerflex Engineering, Quality, HSE, Logistics, and Project Controls.
This role will focus on leveraging external partners manufacturing capacity to alleviate workload within the main factory, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness of projects. The project manager will act as the primary point of contact between Enerflex and its fabrication subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication and efficient execution of outsourced projects. The project manager will work hand in had with outsourcing coordinators , including delegation of work fronts to allow various tasks to progress at the same time.
Our ideal candidate would have strong industrial manufacturing and QC experience, vendor management and computer skills, with an ability to prioritize key work and multi-task where needed. We are looking for an energetic team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision and is self-motivated.
