Job summary

A reputable hotel group in Winnipeg is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to conduct research, analyze systems, and manage projects. The successful candidate will ensure the feasibility and performance of mechanical installations and develop maintenance programs. This is a permanent full-time position with no remote work options.   • Investigate mechanical failures or maintenance problems.
  • Plan and manage projects, preparing estimates and specifications.
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders.
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
  • Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies
