Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director – Project Management and New Initiatives, the Project Coordinator – Suite Renovations oversees suite renovations across the Venvi portfolio in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Responsibilities include defining scope, coordinating with contractors and site teams, reviewing quotes, monitoring budgets, and ensuring quality standards are met. The role ensures renovations are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with standards, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

  • Oversight and tracking of renovation costs
  • Adherence to quality assurance and compliance standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and General Contractor on suite scope and communicate requirements to site teams.
  • Review and approve contractor quotes, ensuring alignment with scope and budget.
  • Ensure contractor work meets Cogir’s standards, addressing deficiencies promptly.
  • Oversee contractor work to complete suite turns within 30 days.
  • Review Workday requisitions and manage contractor invoices.
  • Review and approve RFAs prior to client submission.
  • Monitor program spend and report on budget adherence.
  • Communicate program changes to General Contractors.
  • Provide training to new Executive Directors and Contractors.
  • Source and maintain relationships with contractors and explore new supplier opportunities.
  • Uphold organizational values of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Manage the Suite Renovations email inbox and respond timely.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or related certification, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in seniors housing, multi-residential, or hotel sectors
  • Project management training / experience
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to identify challenges and implement solutions quickly
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, MS Office
