A leading trenchless contractor in Toronto is seeking a Field Project Coordinator to manage and support trenchless lining projects. The successful candidate will ensure project organization and safety, liaising with subcontractors and inspectors. Required qualifications include field coordination experience and strong organizational skills. The role offers competitive salary, benefits, and a company vehicle allowance.
The Field Project Coordinator acts as the key on-site support for the Operations team, helping to ensure the smooth execution of trenchless lining projects. You will work closely with field crews, subcontractors, municipalities, and inspectors to keep the project organized, safe, and on track. This role is best suited for a detail-oriented, proactive individual comfortable in a fast-paced field environment.
· Support the coordination and execution of daily site activities across multiple trenchless lining projects
· Assist the Foreman and Superintendent with site planning, logistics, and scheduling
· Maintain daily site documentation, including crew timesheets, site photos, delivery records, and inspection logs
· Communicate with subcontractors, clients, and inspectors to ensure alignment on site activities
· Track and report progress, site issues, and potential delays to the Project Manager
· Coordinate locates, road occupancy permits, and site access requirements with municipalities
· Assist with quality control checks, pressure testing documentation, and as-built drawings
· Ensure site safety practices are followed and assist with toolbox talks and hazard assessments
· Monitor and document restoration requirements for roadways, boulevards, and landscaping
· Act as the primary point of contact for site visitors and inspectors when the PM is offsite
· 2+ years of experience in field coordination or construction site supervision (watermain or trenchless preferred)
· Familiarity with trenchless methods such as CIPP lining, watermain spray-in-place, or pipe bursting (asset)
· Strong understanding of underground utility work and municipal construction practices
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and utility locates
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with digital site reporting tools is an asset
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both field and office teams
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites within the region
· Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, Confined Space) considered an asset
