Overview

J3 Architects LLC, an established residential design firm based in Kirkland, WA, is seeking an experienced residential architect to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in residential design and construction and would be expected to work through permit drawing documents for remodels, additions and new SFR with little assistance. If you are looking for independent drafting and the opportunity to work on projects from initial client meetings, pre-design, CDs and permit submittal, please apply!

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement variety of residential projects from small remodels to large additions
• Coordinate and communicate with outside engineers, contractors and building departments
• Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met
• Manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to drive to job sites and assist in measuring

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must
• Strong project management skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to decipher and understand zoning and building code requirements
• Understanding of residential engineering and framing layouts
