Job summary

A leading aerospace company located in Quebec is seeking a Professional in Engineering - Stress Analysis to support aerospace operations. This role focuses on performing stress analyses, conducting material reviews, and working collaboratively with other engineering functions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with at least five years of industry experience. Expectations include good communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, with flexibility for weekend work if needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with an OEM.
  • Experience in aircraft structural substantiation analysis: Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance.
  • Willingness to work weekends if necessary.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Support the Engineering and Operations organizations;
  • Perform various stress analyses of Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and Finite Element Model (FEM) for metallic and composite structures;
  • Perform Material Review Board (MRB) duties in support of Operations activities;
  • Participate when required in Engineering development work;
  • Work in close cooperation with other Engineering functions (Liaison, Design, Materials & Processes, Weights, Project, Systems, Program, etc.) and Operations (Methods, Quality, and Production).
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree or a Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering;
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry (preferably with an OEM);
  • You possess Material Review Board (MRB) and Airframe Repair work experience (preferred candidate);
  • You have knowledge and experience of Aircraft structural substantiation analysis: Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance;
  • You have experience using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and Catia V5;
  • You have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office;
  • You will integrate a position that requires energetic people with good communication skills, who are willing to accept responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team working environment;
  • You must also be a person with initiative, strong sense of responsibility and good engineering judgment;
  • You have flexibility in working week-end if necessary;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset.
