Job description

The mission we are proposing:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing a production team of around 50 people, promoting health and safety, quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and continuous improvement of teams and results, and promoting change.

An overview of your new position

  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of plant regulations and policies, health and safety rules and good manufacturing practices at all times.
  • Act as a leader (role model) with his/her team regarding company rules and policies
  • Implant a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in various initiatives and acting as a promoter
  • Ensure compliance with established processes and standard work methods
  • Meet, maintain or exceed production standards (speed and direct labor) while maintaining the level of quality defined and expected by our customers
  • Ensure that priorities and production schedules are followed, and manage the team accordingly
  • Coach team members so that they all contribute to the company's objectives

  • Evaluate employees' performance during their probationary period and/or on an annual basis, and communicate observations to them
  • Ensure that all employees have received the training they need to perform their tasks- Ensure employee development
  • Ensure day-to-day coordination with other departments to minimize line stoppages and/or product waste
  • Follow, promote and apply procedures effectively
  • Promote team spirit, collaboration, respect and leadership

You are the ideal candidate if you have

  • Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals an asset)
  • Bilingualism essential, both spoken and written (French and English)
  • Computer skills
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Good adaptability and stress management skills
  • Excellent team spirit
  • Results and quality oriented
  • Ability to solve problems quickly
