Overview

PRODUCTION OPERATOR (ROLL FORM) - CGC Inc. is a leading marketer, manufacturer and distributor of gypsum wallboard products, interior finishing material and suspended acoustical ceilings. CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Production Operator (Roll Form) for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario. It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation. Under the guidance of the Roll Form Supervisor, the Production Operator conducts the daily operations of the Roll Form Department.

Responsibilities
  • Production Tasks: Perform packaging, operate and setup roll forming mills, presses packaging robots, palletizers and maintain housekeeping duties while ensuring high-quality production.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety rules, model programs, and procedures, promoting safety among crew members and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Efficiently operate equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Special Projects: Assist in implementing model programs, safety rules, and standard operating procedures, and carry out special projects as directed by management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively in a team environment, maintain consistent attendance, and develop good working relationships within and across departments.
Qualifications
  • A track record of positive safety behaviors, attendance, attitude and work performance with a passion for learning new skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment can be an advantage.
  • Proficient mechanical understanding and the ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Experience setting up and effectively operating a highly automated roll forming and metal punching line.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring safety and quality in all aspects while effectively communicating with team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts and adapt to changing business conditions.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage: $29.22

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
