What is the opportunity?

We have a unique opportunity at RBC to build and evolve a new digital reporting and analytics platform. Your role will be pivotal in this with your multidisciplinary experience in fields such as product management, data analytics, and software engineering combined with your understanding of the business needs. You are a thoughtful, proactive, creative, analytical individual with a passion for solving our clients’ problems.

What will you do?
  • Gather internal and external feedback from stakeholders to identify potential new products or improvements to existing products.
  • In partnership with stakeholders define the “Why?” for any new digital products to make sure the team captures the client needs clearly.
  • Collaborate with various teams involved in ensuring the product quality is according to RBC standards and is aligned with all compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Technology partners to build the reporting and Analytics platform designed to support our enterprise client needs.
  • Maintain detailed requirements and product roadmaps using Confluence. Document development progress, key decisions, specifications, value proposed/delivered, etc.
  • Help develop business cases and user stories for new features and vendor engagements.
  • Help prioritize product features on the roadmap based on client engagements.
  • Help ensure Change Management and Governance is aligned for product release.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • 1 or 2 years of experience in a product owner or similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and possess strong self-starter attitude.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes, as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while assessing impact to existing work.
Nice-to-have
  • Experience with using Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience with BI tools such as PowerBI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Fin-Tech tools and technologies.
  • Domain knowledge on wealth and investments.
