Overview

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Sportsnet Product team and help define and execute the development roadmap for Sportsnet.ca. This role collaborates with other Sportsnet Product Managers, including mobile and the Sportsnet+ streaming experience. You will guide and coordinate a multidisciplinary web product team and own the development and integration of statistics, data and editorial content across Sportsnet.ca as well as the backend tools used by the editorial team.

Responsibilities
  • Run daily standups, facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives, and maintain a well-groomed product backlog.
  • Prioritize features based on user needs and business value, coordinate cross-team dependencies, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards through collaboration with QA.
  • Forge relationships with internal stakeholders (editorial, analytics, marketing) and engage with external vendors as needed.
  • Balance expertise with inputs from all groups, focusing on user experience, engagement, and business priorities.
  • Define and evangelize a compelling product vision for Sportsnet.ca and develop a product roadmap with stakeholder alignment.
  • Serve as the product owner in the agile development process (maintain product backlogs, define user stories, ensure delivery each sprint).
  • Collaborate daily with UX and development teams to clarify questions, remove roadblocks, and evaluate trade-offs to iteratively build and improve products.
  • Ensure web experiences are best-in-class for sports fans, emphasizing user experience, accuracy and performance.
  • Conduct and participate in user research and testing to optimize the web experience and engagement.
  • Provide technical leadership across product lifecycles and drive operational excellence of large-scale streaming, mobile and web products.
  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements and assess technical risks.
  • Use product analytics to uncover insights that drive adoption and evolution.
  • Perform acceptance testing on new features, fixes and updates, and conduct competitive analysis.
