Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Student for our North American Headquarters District (NAHQ) located in Edmonton, Alberta who is available for 8-12 months starting in January 2026. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Procurement and Equipment Manager.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
• Preparing approval documents, including all supporting materials.
• Use ERP system to process orders and assign equipment to different areas of the company.
• Follow up with orders to ensure timely delivery, as well as supporting documentation is completed to pay.
• Follow up open PO reporting to ensure orders close in a timely manner.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries and issues, including concerns and order escalations.
• Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
• Providing equipment administration support.
• Practicing PCL safety practices.
• Assisting in all aspects, as is reasonably available, of procurement & equipment management activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with clients.
• Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
