Job Description

IG Machine & Fibers Ltd. is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We presently have an opportunity for a Process Engineering Co-Op (8-month or 12-month contract) to join our team based in Brampton, Ontario beginning in January 2026. Please note, this is a Safety Sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with large ongoing project to update our Standard Operating Procedures/Standard Working Instructions/checklists
  • Organizational work in the computer system using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to solve technical issues and improve process performance
  • Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing strategies and troubleshooting tools
  • Observing the production floor to figure out sequence of events, and assist with process map
  • Organization of documentation systems
  • Assist with Health and Safety administration as required
  • Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in or new graduate of an Engineering or Technical Program
  • Tech savvy – highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with compliance documentation or processes
  • Great deal of energy and drive
  • Great organizational skills
  • Possess great initiative
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Flexibility
  • ISO 9001 understanding or experience – an asset
Wage
  • $22/hour - $25/hour
