A leading specialty chemicals company is seeking a Process Engineer in Elmira, Ontario. The role focuses on improving process reliability and safety through data analysis and project management. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience. Competitive compensation of $88,000 to $110,000 CAD is offered along with comprehensive benefits and a commitment to diversity in the workplace.
The Process Engineer will ensure the continuous improvement of the assigned processes by proactively monitoring the process variables to identify and resolve issues that improve overall process safety and reliability. The Process Engineer is expected to initiate the required changes in operational practices and to train operations personnel as defined by the improvement opportunities and plant priorities. On a day-to-day basis the Process Engineer reviews and analyzes key process variables for the assigned area and provides technical support and advice to ensure process reliability from a process and safety perspective.

The Elmira facility is a state-of-the-art production facility used to manufacture synthetic lubricants and additives for lubricants, plastics and rubber. In addition to the main production facilities we have a comprehensive wastewater treatment system that treats all of the process wastewater generated on site, and a groundwater treatment system to remove historic contaminants prior to discharge. The Elmira site is also home to a pilot plant, which is used by our scientists and engineers to develop and test new products and production processes.
Situated on 75 acres (of which 22 acres are used for operations), the manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our hourly employees are represented by the United Steelworkers Union.
