Job summary

A leading agricultural equipment dealer in Jasper, Alberta is looking for a Precision Agriculture Specialist. The role involves assisting with dealership initiatives, training customers on new technologies, and conducting agronomic demonstrations. Candidates should have a minimum high school diploma, a G class license, and preferably be enrolled in an Agricultural program. Teamwork and effective communication are essential skills for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Assist with dealership wide key initiatives to support the adoption of Precision Ag technology.
  • Train and present at dealership & customer events focusing on New Precision Ag technology.
  • Operate equipment and technology for in-field training and demonstration events.
  • Utilize and train new users on the John Deere Operations Centre and similar digital tools.
  • Successfully execute in-field agronomic demonstrations.
  • Analyze and communicate key agronomic findings from in-field agronomic demonstrations.
  • Support various dealership departments with Precision Ag hardware & software.
  • Fulfil all other duties that may arise within the Precision Ag department.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • G class license required.
  • Enrollment in Agricultural program at University or College is preferred.
  • Comfortable operating large farm equipment.
  • Work successfully in a team environment & independently.
  • Capable of using Microsoft Office technology such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
  • Effective communicator.
