Job description

Brandt Tractor is looking for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technicians for our Regina location. We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work. This role is crucial in ensuring Brandt delivers high-quality products and experiences to our customers.

Our Pre-Delivery Inspection Technicians are responsible for equipment inspections, making machine adjustments and repairs, and installing custom attachments on a variety of construction, utility, and forestry equipment. These processes ensure that the equipment meets all Brandt and OEM quality standards.

Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer skills are required. Brandt offers on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement. This position is based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform full pre-delivery inspections on machines prior to delivery to customers.
  • Perform routine mechanical duties, assembly, maintenance, and minor repairs of equipment.
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty mobile equipment, including:
    • Diesel engines and support systems
    • Transmissions
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Differentials and final drives
    • Steering, suspension, and brake systems
    • Electrical/electronic systems
    • Structural components
    • Heating and cooling systems
    • Machine operation and control systems
    • Fluid and fuel systems
  • Use testing instruments, hand, air, and electric tools correctly for assembly, maintenance, repair, and inspection.
  • Safely use secondary materials and equipment such as rigging, welding equipment, and pressure washers.
  • Operate and road test equipment safely, checking attachment operation as needed.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, including the proper disposal, storage, or recycling of hazardous materials.
  • Use computer applications and information systems for maintenance, inspection, and parts ordering.
  • Document assembly processes and report time accurately on work orders.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to meet the needs of PDI, Sales, Service, and customers.
  • Complete Brandt and OEM training modules to enhance knowledge and skills.
