Job summary

A healthcare organization in Manitoba is seeking a qualified Power Engineer responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical high-pressure systems. Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience in a first-class plant, hold a valid Manitoba Second Class Power Engineer Certificate, and possess skills in instrumentation and electrical controls. This position also emphasizes safety and the ability to work in high-temperature environments. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the health care of the community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as an Engineer in charge of a shift in a first-class plant.
  • Experience with instrumentation and operating experience including minor troubleshooting with electrical and electronic industrial controls.
  • High School education, Manitoba Standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers and related equipment.
  • Acts as Charge Engineer or Maintenance/Relief Engineer as needed.
  • Provides assistance to the Charge Engineer as required.
