What You Will Do

• Lead and oversee production operations across horizontal and vertical powder coating lines (pre-treatment, application, curing, inspection, packaging).
• Ensure world-class quality aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and Qualicoat; own CAPA and defect reduction.
• Drive a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OHSA, lead training, audits, and incident prevention.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of 50+ employees (through supervisors) to build accountability and engagement.
• Optimize processes, reduce waste, and implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Preventative maintenance ownership: implement PM schedules for ovens, spray booths, conveyors, compressors, curing systems, and recovery units; conduct routine inspections (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic); maintain compliant, audit-ready logs.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and HR to hit production, safety, and cost targets.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in manufacturing leadership, including 3+ years in powder coating/paint/surface finishing.
• Proven success managing large, diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Qualicoat standards.
• Demonstrated Lean and process optimization results (waste/downtime reduction, throughput gains).
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; ERP/MRP proficiency an asset.
• Certifications (nice to have): ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Qualicoat, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, OHSA.
