An established industry player is seeking a Planner for Reactor Decommissioning to join their innovative team. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while leading the planning and execution of decommissioning activities. Are you looking for a role that will challenge you? Reactor Decommissioning (RD) is responsible for all Storage with Surveillance (SWS) and decommissioning activities of the “Off-Site” prototype reactors. Reactor Segmentation (RS) is responsible for the planning and execution of all activities related to the characterization, segmentation, and packaging of all of the reactor Calandria/cores which are managed by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) on behalf of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL). The Planner for RD is accountable to the Manager of RS and has primary duties to ensure that documents, methods, procedures, and practices are executed in compliance with company and regulatory procedures. In particular, the Planner will ensure that their actions, documents, methods, and plans address health, safety, security, environmental, and quality requirements for RD activities. The role will be based in the CRL working area, but travel to and from remote sites will be required. Work areas include Chalk River Laboratories (CRL), Douglas Point (DP), and Gentilly 1 (G-1).
