Responsibilities
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate specialized cardiac imaging and test results to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct catheter-based interventions, device implantations (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders), and advanced diagnostic techniques such as intravascular ultrasound and fractional flow reserve measurement.
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultation services, ensuring continuity of care across settings.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical precepting, lectures, and academic consultation.
- Direct and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, house staff, and ancillary personnel to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide consultative services, chart reviews, and supervisory oversight to maintain high standards of cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements for Physician (Internal Medicine):
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from a school accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, Association of American Medical Colleges, Liaison Committee on Medical Education, Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or a U.S. Department of Education‑recognized accrediting body.
- Foreign Degree: Equivalent education and medical knowledge to U.S. accredited schools demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
- Licensure: Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
- Graduate Training: At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting (internship or first year of residency).
Residency Training for GP-14: Successfully completed accredited residency training in Internal Medicine and equivalent experience equal to at least 4 years.
Salaries: Tier 1: $123,077 – $400,000.
