Job description

Please note that this role requires physical presence in our studio located in Quebec City. As part of the photo studio team, the photographer–photo technician will work with artistic directors, photo supervisors and stylists. Their role will consist in applying image standards based on artistic guidelines. This requires expert skill in creating quality images and lighting configurations for showcasing our products to be photographed.

The incumbent will work with the fashion, home, and accessories departments, and will perform touch-ups on various production stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make the necessary decisions on the shooting process's technical evolution and execution based on predetermined standards.
  • Conduct and pace the shooting process to meet set volumes.
  • Present the product qualitatively. Maintain computers and photo equipment.
  • Send touch-up files and annotations for each photo for the touch-up teams.
  • Share communications and information with other internal and external photographers.
  • Perform daily photo edits for all departments, based on priorities.
Desired profile
  • Three years of experience in photography and lighting.
  • Photography training.
  • Advanced proficiency with Capture One, Photoshop and Excel.
  • Experience working in a Mac environment. Open to constructive criticism.
  • Demonstrate ongoing efforts to achieve artistic goals at the qualitative and quantitative levels.
  • Being able to communicate effectively in both French and English in order to interact efficiently with the various departments.
