We Focus on Patient Care
  • We’ve implemented central fill to process refills, built support teams that do prescription data entry and clinical validation, handle phone calls and schedule pharmacy services appointments. Pharmacy Assistants play a key role in client care in our pharmacies.

Your Role

While we all collaborate to provide services to clients, we all play different roles to make this happen. You’ll contribute by:

  1. Collaborating with other team members to provide timely high quality healthcare service delivery and exceptional client experience.
  2. Having meticulous attention to detail in your work.
  3. Being highly client service focused.
Prescription & Dispensing Support
  • Prepare and package prescriptions under pharmacist and/or pharmacy technician supervision.
  • Input accurate patient and prescription data into pharmacy software.
  • Process refill requests and third‑party billing.
Client Service & Experience
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Collect prescription information accurately.
  • Handle cash and card transactions assist with product inquiries.
Inventory Management
  • Receive, stock, and organize medications and health supplies.
  • Track expiration dates and manage returns or waste in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and help with order preparation.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain patient records and filing systems.
  • Assist in managing faxes and coordinating follow‑ups.

You may be required to travel to other Murphy's Pharmacy locations within the Western area.
