Overview

Pharmacist Manager position at Pharmacy located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. This is a leadership role overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, and leading a team of pharmacy professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical and Patient Care:
    • Accurately and efficiently dispense and compound medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
    • Counsel patients on the proper use of their medications, including dosage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
    • Provide expert guidance to physicians and other health practitioners regarding medication interactions, side effects, and alternative drug therapies.
    • Conduct proactive reviews of prescriptions to ensure proper dosage and identify potential contraindications.
  • Leadership and Operations Management:
    • Supervise and train pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and interns, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
    • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, ordering, and maintaining a secure and organized workspace.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain meticulous records of all medications, prescriptions, and patient information.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed pharmacist, a plus
  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists.
  • Must be licensed by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) or have completed the PEBC's certification process.
  • Meet English Language Proficiency standards as required for licensure.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex medical information.
  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and proper medication management.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
