Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and self-motivated Staff Pharmacist to work at our independently owned pharmacies located in the above mentioned towns. This is a reasonably busy pharmacy and ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable managing daily operations independently and work as a team. Normally 2 assistants are working most of the day.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription and non-prescription medications in compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and provincial/federal regulations.
- Provide patient counseling on prescription and over-the-counter products, including proper use, side effects, interactions, and adherence support.
- Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, therapeutic effectiveness, and potential drug-related problems.
- Administer vaccines and other injections in accordance with OCP authorization.
- Renew, adapt, or prescribe medications for eligible minor ailments as per Ontario regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of services provided.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Ensure safe storage, handling, and inventory control of all medications, including controlled substances.
- Comply with all legal, ethical, and professional standards, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Use Fillware and Kroll software for prescription processing and patient record maintenance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with patients.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Fillware and Kroll pharmacy software (required).
- Comfortable working independently in a community setup.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Preferable if bilingual (English and French).

- Ontario Registered Pharmacist: 2 years (required).
