Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist for an in-clinic pharmacy located in Scarborough, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing patient counseling, supervising pharmacy technicians, and ensuring full compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.

This is an on-site role that requires weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, verify, and dispense prescription medications.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
• Review and monitor patient medication regimens for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with all OCP, provincial, and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, storage, and record-keeping.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment focused on patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted license with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred (community or clinical).
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical dispensing and medication therapy management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
• Proven ability to lead, supervise, and support pharmacy technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Note: This in-clinic pharmacy does not dispense methadone.
