Valleyview Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Petroleum Driver at our Virden Farm & Ranch Centre in Virden, Manitoba.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Petroleum Manager, a Petroleum Driver is responsible for the efficient delivery of petroleum products, customer service, maintenance of cardlocks, all related administrative requirements including driver reports, invoices, service/load records at the bulk plant, and other reporting paperwork. Key responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Complete all safety requirements in the operation, delivery, and maintenance of equipment and assets.
  • Drivers are responsible for accurately filling order deliveries, preparing and inspecting delivery unit for transport, invoicing, and efficiently and economically completing deliveries.
  • Operate vehicles in a responsible, professional, and courteous manner at all time and obey all traffic regulations.
  • Complete accurate and timely driver reports and driving records to verify fills and alignment to electronic records and GPS.
  • Responsible for ensuring all image checklists and environmental reporting are completed as scheduled and that all repair needs are communicated to the Petroleum Supervisor.
  • As directed, Drivers must complete housekeeping, yard work, and general maintenance at the cardlock locations including basic operation/fixes of the cardlock system. Drivers may be required to attend to cardlock call-outs for repairs.

Qualifications:

You are looking for a career in retail service and you have:

  • Must have clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • First Aid & H2S.
  • Knowledge of Farm/Oil Field operations would be beneficial as well as previous experience working in a fuel operation would be an asset.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when seasons demand.
