Job Summary
The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

  • Accompany clients on outings
  • Shopping and errands
  • Medication Reminders
  • Ambulation and transporting of clients
  • Provide companionship to clients
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Ability to follow a care plan
  • Documentation/Charting
Qualifications
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (eg. foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of completing the school).
  • Current CPR/First Aid training
  • Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen or be willing to obtain one.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Access to the internet/mobile phone.
  • Great support and teamwork
  • Dementia/Alzheimer experience
