Overview

Personal Support Worker (PSW) role in the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge area with CBI Home Health. This position is part-time and may include weekend work. We offer competitive wages with travel compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in their home or other community locations as directed by care plans.
• Assist clients to maintain safety and independence, including light exercises and mobility support as appropriate.
• Observe, document, and report changes in clients' condition to the Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• PSW Certificate or valid certification as a Home Support Worker (Level II or III) or equivalent (Health Care Aide, Personal Attendant, etc.).
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C) Certification.
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within 12 months.
• Proof of a negative TB test within 12 months and up-to-date immunization record.
• Ability to travel between homes within the service area; valid driver’s license, vehicle, and car insurance required.
• Commitment to work every other weekend.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; French or other languages are an asset.
• Reliability and strong organizational skills; ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg).
