Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to provide a professional and comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the General Manager, Clinical Service Manager, Clinical Director & Lead Nurse for Emergency & Acute Medicine. Duties will include preparing papers for monthly management meetings, taking minutes, email & diary management, SSTS Input, and any other duties as outlined in the job description.

Applicants should possess a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration or SVQ in Administration at Level III and have significant relevant practical experience as a Personal Assistant or Secretary, preferably in a health care environment. You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills and possess advanced typing skills.
