Wage Schedule: $28.340 - $29.620 per hour
The Birthing Suite Service Associate (SA) is an integral member of the Mat/Newborn Program and multidisciplinary team working in close collaboration with other team members in providing support for the birthing area. Duties include, but are not limited to: transporting of patients; assisting with the positioning of patients as required; maintaining equipment and reporting need for repairs; transporting, setting up and cleaning of equipment as required; transporting specimens; performing errands to departments; assisting with ordering, receiving and stocking of supplies; replenishing of carts and rooms with supplies; cleaning of Birthing Suite (as per recommended guidelines); emptying and transporting of garbage and linen; changing of sharps containers; defrosting and cleaning of refrigerators; cleaning of microwaves; handling of placental tissue; preparing soiled case carts for transportation to SPD in a timely manner; and other duties and tasks as required.
