Day in the Life:

  • Review payroll system for union rate compliance
  • Assist with system setup, including Jira Ticket management
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation
  • Process CRA remittances, garnishments, EHT remittances, and union payments
  • Respond to union inquiries
  • Coordinate with branches on payroll matters
  • Maintain employee records according to regulations
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned

What We Are Seeking:

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience or strong understanding of payroll procedures
  • Experience analyzing deductions, remittances, taxes, CPP, EI
  • Experience with salaried, hourly, union, and non-union payroll
  • Knowledge of Canadian government regulations
  • PCP or CPM designation preferred, or relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical and organizational skills
