Job summary

A health services organization in Winnipeg is seeking a Patrol Security Services role. Applicants should have a high school education, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A valid Class 5 driver's license and Manitoba Security Guard License are required. The position involves physically demanding tasks such as walking and restraining individuals if necessary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support Heli-port operation at extreme heights.
  • Perform pre-landing inspections and assist with patient off-loads.
  • Respond to security incidents and ensure safety protocols.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Prior security experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Must possess a valid Manitoba Security Guard License and/or any future license mandated by Manitoba Justice to perform the duties of a Security Guard.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must be able to work at extreme heights to support Heli-port operation.
  • Must be able to perform activities that include pre-landing inspections, activation of emergency systems and assisting patient off-loads.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a two-way radio is required.
  • Ability to interact well with others.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
  • Must possess tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and good judgement.

Physical Requirements
