A Day in the life:

In the role of Parts Technical Specialist, the primary responsibility is maintaining positive relationships with service technicians, service team and manufacturers for parts identification, creating estimates, and problem solving. The parts technical specialist must thrive in an extremely fast‑paced work environment with high deliverables. In‑person customer service for parts counter sales may also be involved.

Responsibilities:
  • Generates estimates for technician group.
  • Provides regular, timely communication with customer to maximize conversion rate.
  • Engages with technician group to determine the required parts for service orders.
  • Researches part manufacturers' resources to identify commercial food equipment parts to better assist customers.
  • Verifies and update's accurate part information for customer accounts.
  • Liaises with service technicians and manufacturers for technical support calls.
  • Listens to and understands customer needs and provides quotes.
  • Issues purchase orders for material and part pick‑ups from local suppliers.
  • Sources parts from various sources.
What you bring:
  • High school graduation or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
  • Ability to quickly learn new ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability and proficiency in MS Office suite of applications
  • Technically savvy with the ability to read manufacturer manuals and identify parts via online catalog
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 50 wpm
  • Ability to keep information confidential
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast‑paced environment with precise attention to detail
  • Strong time management, organization and multitasking abilities
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
