Job summary

A local family-owned care provider in Coquitlam is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team at Lakeshore Care Centre. This part-time role involves responsibilities such as resident admissions and assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Candidates must be registered with BCCNM and hold a valid CPR/First Aid certificate. Experience in Long Term Care is preferred. The position requires critical thinking skills and a valid Canadian work permit.

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with BCCNM.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
  • Competent in electronic documentation and EMar.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Preferred experience in Long Term Care.
  • Must have proof of Vaccination.
  • Valid Canadian work permit required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Perform resident assessments and care planning.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and wound care.
  • Liaise with physicians and families.
  • Delegate tasks to unregulated care providers.
  • Take charge of Care Conferences and Medication reviews.
