Overview

Active Healing Massage is looking for a part time receptionist starting September. If selected, interviews will be held Wed Sept 24th 12:00-2:30. The receptionist is the backbone of the clinic and has many responsibilities and duties including but not limited to greeting, cashing out and rebooking of clientele, answering and returning phone calls and emails, daily phone call reminders, daily cash outs, folding laundry and cleaning, typing documents and inputting client information, helping out at local trade shows, promoting the clinic by visiting other businesses and handing out brochures to houses, etc. Hours are between the following times depending on client bookings. Please do not apply if unable to work times listed below, come during interview time or are unable to start on start date.

Hours

Mondays: 10:00am-2:30pm

Tuesdays: 11:15am-7:00pm

Wednesdays: 11:15am-6:00pm

Thursdays: 11:15am-7:00pm

Fridays: 3:00pm-7:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Greeting, cashing out and rebooking of clientele
  • Answering and returning phone calls and emails; daily phone call reminders
  • Daily cash outs; folding laundry and cleaning/dusting
  • Typing documents and inputting client information
  • Assisting at local trade shows; promoting the clinic by visiting other businesses
  • Handing out brochures to households
Requirements and Notes
  • Hours listed above are the max hours for the week and are not guaranteed and depend on client bookings. Staff must be ready to come in between these times to accommodate last-minute bookings with at least one hour notice; the last receptionist averaged about 21 hours per week as a reference.
  • Employee must have a license and own vehicle to accommodate last-minute bookings.
  • Applicants with small children under 6 years old must sign additional documentation stating 3 different back-up childcare options in case childcare is sick or daycare is closed; children are not allowed in the workplace and lack of childcare is not excusable from the workplace.
  • Starting wage is $15 per hour with the opportunity for a $1 per hour raise at the end of every year worked for the next 5 years, with a cap of $20 per hour; with pay during regular work schedule off with probation.
  • The ideal candidate should be confident with computers and phones, good at multitasking, personable, and able to work independently.
  • Experience as a receptionist or in the massage industry is an asset.
