Part-Time Elementary & High School Teachers/Tutors Wanted

Oxford Learning Edmonton Callingwood is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for roles in our learning centre for the current school year (2025-2026). If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview

As a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Your lessons are pre‑planned so you can focus on teaching!

Position Requirements
  • Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
  • Commitment through to the end of the 2025-26 school year (June 30th), with the possibility of continuing through the summer.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Third‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered
  • Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
Experience
  • Some experience teaching or tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
  • The ability to teach French is also highly desired
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 3 students at a time in Elementary grades or up to 2 students at a time in Grades 10‑12
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)
